I said goodbye to my cat, James, almost a year ago now. He was the first cat I had as an adult and was with me for 19 and a half years. My heart is still broken, and I still say good night to him ever night. My other cat, Simon, who'd been with me for 18 years, passed about five weeks ago. It's a rough time of year. My heart is with you and all of our kitties. May they be laying in sunbeams with full bellies, dreaming of us.
Kate I’m so sorry about James and Simon! Lou was only 9 when he passed away, so I can’t imagine how much harder it must be to say goodbye to pets that have been around twice as long. I remember reading a Washington Post article about grieving pets, and it said something like “in exchange for a lifetime of love and good memories, the price that we pay is the one worst day of our lives, but it’s worth it.” Thinking about you and your guys today ♥️
I understand what you are going through, it has been 10 years since my buddy Tigger passed and I still miss him greatly. I have a picture of him on the refrigerator and every morning I tell him good morning and that I love him. It may seem odd to some but it does help to have connection with him in that way.
Aww, I'm sorry about Tigger. I don't think that's odd at all – in fact, I have a stuffed Siamese cat that I hug goodnight every night. I think it's a nice thing to keep some kind of routine in their memory
I'm so, so sorry about Elliott. I don't know about you, but I'm grateful that I still cry about Lou. I'm glad that I still feel so strongly about him, y'know? Hope you have a nice day today ❤️

The one with the yellow flowers is really beautiful!
Thank you Gillian!
Now I’m crying. And it feels good. I miss Elliott so much. He looked like your dear friend, actually. Great artwork. Thank you ❤️
