June's Riso Print(s)
(one year without my buddy)
Every month I make a print on my handy-dandy risograph machine (which is essentially a copy machine combined with screenprinting, where one color is printed at a time) and send them out to my subscribers on Patreon.
about these prints
June unfortunately marks one year since the passing of my little best friend, Lou the cat. The grief comes and goes in waves, but understandably (I think) it is hitting me hard that he's been gone so long already. So much has changed in my life since then, but it still feels like yesterday that he was here. I wanted to make this month's print a tribute to him.
It’s cathartic to draw and print and cry!

P.S. give your pet a lil hug and kiss from me

I said goodbye to my cat, James, almost a year ago now. He was the first cat I had as an adult and was with me for 19 and a half years. My heart is still broken, and I still say good night to him ever night. My other cat, Simon, who'd been with me for 18 years, passed about five weeks ago. It's a rough time of year. My heart is with you and all of our kitties. May they be laying in sunbeams with full bellies, dreaming of us.
I understand what you are going through, it has been 10 years since my buddy Tigger passed and I still miss him greatly. I have a picture of him on the refrigerator and every morning I tell him good morning and that I love him. It may seem odd to some but it does help to have connection with him in that way.
